Tree — The Unmoved Witness – a scene where everything changes, except what truly matters.

The embroidery is a horizontal rectangle with a clean black border, framing a vivid and highly detailed composition.

On the right side stands the most important element — a large, twisted tree. Its dark trunk grows from a rocky base rising out of the sea, slightly curved, solid and grounded. The branches spread outward, covered in intensely pink blossoms.

Even though it’s not centered, the tree draws the most attention. It feels still and unchanging — it doesn’t react, it observes. It was there before, it is here now, and it will remain.

Its outline subtly breaks beyond the frame of the embroidery, reaching outside the border — as if it doesn’t fully belong within limits. Like something that existed before the scene… and continues beyond it.

Beside it stands a stone lantern, placed on the same rocks — quiet, steady, and present.

Below, the sea stretches across the scene in deep tones of green and blue, with subtle reflections. It feels alive and constantly moving — the opposite of the tree.

In the distance, low mountains form a calm horizon.

Above them, the sky glows in gold, orange, and purple, with a large red sun sitting low near the water. Its reflection creates a path of light across the sea.

Everything shifts — the water, the sky, the sun. But the tree remains.
